Welcome to Home of Urban Farm
This is my first year’s architecture project located in Hackney wick, near the Queen’s Yard, London.
The brief was to create Pop-up Community within the area that aimed to create a unique architectural experience, The aim was to reconsider what is ‘Pop-now’, to develop new ‘ways of seeing’, understanding and interpreting everyday objects/events/spaces and learn to look beyond the visible into the unseen and ‘absurd’ qualities of those events to investigate ways of looking differently at our ‘Every day’ urban space as fluid and ever-changing system.
The Urban Farm occupies the rooftop of a popular communal restaurant named The White building, it’s a temporary structure that re-imagines the use of farming technologies such as hydroponics & aquaponics to grow an experiential & sustainable food supply for the community below it.
